For the last few months we’ve been collaborating with the UK’s #1 foodie destination ‘Great British Chefs’ to celebrate four of our classic cocktails MOTH: Mojito, Negroni, Margarita and French:75. In a series of special articles, GBC told their stories, shared their tastes and a platter of recipe tips of how they meld with the most luscious of food.
The folk over at GBC are pretty talented when it comes to taste, of course. So it’s made for some delicious pairings that we at MOTH have loved trying out. So we thought we’d pick some of our favourites to share with you as well as the articles in their entirety. Let us know if you try any. Especially if they make your mouth water.

GREAT BRITISH CHEFS: OUR BIG AND DELICIOUS CLASSIC COCKTAIL CELEBRATION
DECEMBER 5, 2022
CELEBRATING CLASSIC COCKTAILS
ON THE MENU WITH MOTH: MOJITO
The ultimate sunshine indulgence, our MOTH: Mojito is a glimpse of eternal poolside bliss. It sparkles with cool flavours - fresh mint, juicy hits of lime. And a rum that isn't afraid to show its face - one you can really taste, from our friends at Duppy Share. Great British Chefs went to Havana and beyond with their pairing ideas for this one. Our favourites include the scallops, tuna and salmon ceviche with ripe mango. As well as the barbecue chicken thighs marinated in balsamic and mustard. And for pudding? We thought the light but opulent raspberry pavlova made for the ultimate centrepiece to conclude an easy-breezy get-together. You can find the article via the link below.
NIBBLES FOR THE MOTH: NEGRONI
Redder than a deep sunset, we make our MOTH: Negroni with a faithful mix of gin, amaro and vermouth, and the ever-available help of our friends at Tarquin’s Cornish Gin and Asterley Bros. Our Great British Chef foodie highlight included the figs, gorgonzola and root vegetable dish for a late summer, early autumn sensorial flirt. We were also pretty wowed by the spiced Spanish permission tart, too. In fact, all of the recipes blended with the MOTH: Negroni’s deep citrus flavours. Which we felt really did make this mix the ideal September concoction. Check out the Venison bolognese fritters, as well as the hazelnut and truffle tastes too
MARGARITA
For the limiest, sharpest, zingiest and baddest of them all, the team at Great British Chefs took it way further than the usual salted rim. We were left drooling over the simple and casual torta de pescado recipe. The crispy fried fish and smoky chipotle mayo, coleslaw and lime-rich guacamole recipe was an absolute MOTH: Margarita match made in heaven. Or Wahaca. Then there’s the sticky chocolatey tamales too. An ideal homage to the sweet celebrations of November's Día de los Muertos. And there’s more where that came from below.
FRENCH 75
Named by Great British Chefs as the ‘ultimate cocktail for festive hosting’ we couldn’t agree more really. Especially with its readiness for razzmatazz, seasonal sparkle and celebration. Its fizzy and lemony twist on the classic blend is gorgeously balanced with Tarquin’s gin and sweet pinkness. This menu included the merriest of pairings like salmon and beetroot tartares, sumptuous turkey flakey pastry puffs and an unforgettable creamy almond take on the staple mince pie. Yum.
