Our free-spirited amigo has joined the party. Paloma wants to frolic with you, Stevie Nicks style. This one loves laid-back adventure. Beachside pleasures. Singing in the fields. Wandering around ancient ruins. Wouldn’t that be nice?
Some say it was dreamed up sometime in the 50s. By bartending legend Don Javier Delgado Corona, owner of La Capilla (The Chapel) in Tequila, Mexico. Though a little bird tells us it’s been around a lot longer. Originally, just tequila and Squirt grapefruit soda – a quick hosting fix in Mexican homes. Maybe the name comes from “pomelos” – that’s Spanish for grapefruit. Or maybe it’s that old folk song. The one about lovers lost at sea. It’s all a haze of the recent past. We just know it’s Mexico’s favourite. And that we love it too.
It’s a real sunshine sipper. A smooth sideswipe of smoky Tequila from our friends at Enemigo. And lush grapefruit zest. All in halcyon harmony. Our Paloma’s got a juicy bohemian soul. Tastes like days spent flitting between the bar and the shore. And back again.
