Wood Brothers have an eye for the fine details. Their winter wheat, barley and rye are all processed on site. Meticulously harvested, milled, fermented and distilled by their head distiller – for a perfect base spirit. Every bottle of their single estate vodka (and gin) contains around a kilo of grain grown on their farm.
It’s a process of love. And one that’s been refined across generations. Maximising yield and minimising waste. All to produce the best ingredients. To give their spirits a distinctive taste.
Their hand-crafted base spirit is run through their Carter Head still. Its 9.5m column contains 42 copper plates. Only pure water is added. To blend it all down to the perfect bottling strength – 40% ABV. This technique gives their soft English winter wheat flavour characteristics of caramel, vanilla, honey – and a hint of pepper.
They’re responsible. Always looking for ways to improve sustainability. Reducing inputs and outputs – and reusing where they can. Their waste water is recycled to heat their greenhouses and distillery buildings. Their aim? To reduce any negative environmental impact. While staying economically sustainable – and socially responsible.
