Ah oui, the pinnacle of poise, glamour and fun. Our homage to the classic French 75. Though we’ve given it a MOTH twist and brought it into this century with pink gin (its namesake). So welcome it to the party fashionably late, as it should be.
Our Pink Gin Fizz is tantalisingly lemony and full of effervescence – à la its French cousin. We kept it elegant and light, of course (criminal, otherwise). It’s also gorgeously balanced with Cornish gin from our friends at Tarquin’s. Pink – of course, darling. But just enough to see la vie en rose.
It wouldn’t be right to leave out this one’s heritage. We’ll tell all. French 75 is a real classic. It belongs on the silver screen and can be spotted in Casablanca (arguably the best cocktail movie of all time). AKA the ‘Soixante Quinze’ in its mother tongue, the drink was allegedly created in Harry’s New York Bar, war-time Paris, 1915. It's said to be named after a 75mm field gun for its powerful kick. Though its taste of fame came with the roaring twenties when it gained a reputation fizzing with revelry rather than rifles. That’s where Pink Gin Fizz comes in. All fun – no fights.
