This one’s a chameleon. Quietly confident. Effortlessly blending in wherever you fancy. Clean, crisp, endlessly mixable. Vodka has long been a favourite across Europe – and beyond. That’s for good reason. It’s the ultimate base spirit. Neutral – never boring. Pure with presence. With more people leaning into cocktails that feel both classic and modern, vodka’s having a well-earned moment in the sun.

PULL UP A STOOL: ALL ABOUT VODKA
HOW IS VODKA MADE?
Vodka can be made pretty much anything you fancy. Though there’s a few traditions. Rye in Poland. Or wheat in Russia. But you can even use grapes or potatoes. There’s just 1 goal: extract and ferment sugars. Then distil to a high ABV.
What sets great vodka apart is its smoothness, purity and subtle character.
At MOTH, we use single-estate English heritage vodka from Wood Brothers. Independent vodka from a family distillery. These Oxfordshire brothers put a lot of love into their land. With warm vanilla and cool pine notes, expect vodka smooth as skating over ice.
It all starts with homegrown wheat – harvested just metres from the stills. The grains are milled and mashed, then fermented with yeast to create alcohol. Next: distillation. Their copper stills allow for precision – removing impurities while preserving subtle depth. Wood Brothers Vodka is triple distilled for exceptional smoothness. Then charcoal filtered to remove any harsh edges. The final spirit is blended with natural spring water and bottled on-site.
The result is vodka with real integrity. Soft on the tongue. Clean on the finish. And the heart of our Espresso Martini, Passionfruit Martini and Cosmopolitan. Maybe you’ll even take all 3 smooth talkers for a spin with our Vodka Pack.

A SHORT HISTORY OF VODKA COCKTAILS
Vodka as we know it hails from the frosty plains of Eastern Europe. Poland. Russia. Somewhere nestled deep in powdery pillows of snow. It’s been a staple for centuries – sipped in icy shot glasses, toasted at celebrations, used in rituals of every kind.
But its cocktail journey began in the mid-20th century – when vodka exploded onto the American scene. With its subtle flavour and versatile mixability, it became the bartender’s darling. From dive bars to hotel lounges, vodka became a blank canvas for innovation.
ENTER: THE COSMOPOLITAN
Tarty-sweet and chic. The Cosmo rose to stardom in the 90s – thanks to a certain group of New York friends’ antics. But this cocktail’s been around the block more than you might think. It’s a Massachusetts native, dreamed up by the queer community in Provincetown.
Our Cosmopolitan has a crisp cranberry kiss that cuts across ice-clear Wood Brothers vodka. With Triple Sec moving to sweet beats of orange notes. And flashes of bright lime dancing like it's Studio 54. Best the night before the morning after. Read all about it.
MUST-TRY VODKA COCKTAILS
Soft, bitter, like sliding freely over ice. Our Espresso Martini brings Wood Brothers' vodka with cold brew and coffee liqueur: friends coming together again. A rich, chocolatey reunion. With that classic crema finish. Ready to carry you from dinner to the dancefloor with a whisper of sweetness.
Our Passionfruit Martini takes you to tropical sunset romance. Tropical, rich, romantic. Expect silky drapes of mango and peach on passionfruit pillows. With award-winning vodka from Wood Brothers– smooth as skating over clear ice. Thick as a sonderous lick of ice cream. Gaze out on the ocean. Think about that love letter you need to reply to?
And just like that – our Cosmopolitan again. You know the drill. A crisp cranberry kiss that cuts through Wood Brothers’ vodka. Independently distilled, this cocktail will accessorise only with the best. It wants to whisper to you in dim lighting about its story – pull up a stool? Ideal for lavish lunches. Or dancing on tables. We won’t judge.
